Can sewing machine oil be used on my shredder? null

The maintenance instructions we like to follow for our printers is to once a month, drizzle vegetable oil or cooking oil (nothing petroleum based) on a few pieces of paper and feed them through the shredder. If your sewing machine oil is not petroleum based, you should be fine to use it.

I recommend you use the shredder lubricant that's available for purchase and to use on these machines. They also have lubricant filled sheets designed for shredders.

if there is a picture of an oil can on the top of the shredder to show where to lubricate it, yes - sewing machine oil or 3 in 1 oil is good.
