No, you can't damage an iPhone or ANY USB-C device with this charger. The charger works as a power supply basically, and the iPhone (or whatever device) will request what power it needs to charge. As the iPhone gets full, the charging power will get lower and lower, down to 5 watts or less as it nears 100%. I use this on my iPhone and MacBook Air with no issues.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Devices and charger negotiate what can be accepted. As long as you have a USB-C port it's perfectly safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the charger is functioning properly, it should not. The 100w is a maximum and will only send what the phone "asks for" in the way of power. If it or the phone malfunction, then it could certainly damage the phone. This, however, is true of any charger/phone combination.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should not, because USB-C charging has a negotiation step so that phone and charger can work at supported rates in both sides.
