A:Answer The inside measurement from the back of fridge to the glass of the closed door is close to 13.25 inches. From the back of the fridge to the edge of the shelf is 12 inches, the front edge of the shelf is inside the fridge by 1 inch and from the front of the fridge to the glass in the door gives you another fraction of an inch.
You can see from my pic below that by alternating bottom/cork/bottom/cork/bottom, I can fit 5 bottles horizontally per shelf. I also have 8 bottles standing vertically at the bottom (9 would fit if I wanted to squeeze another one in. So, if you want to store all of your wine horizontally, you should be fine as long as the cork or wine stopper for a partially finished bottle doesn't stick out too far.
