“are these cable 15 pins on both ends? I have a VGA cable which is 15pins on one end and only 9 pins on the other. don't know what it is used for but won't connect my laptop to a tv for larger screen . I need a two male 15 pin ended cable.”

Yes, both ends are male! I used it to connect my new monitor to my laptop port and it did the trick.
