For Fire TV's: mine blinked green as well. Audio output needs to be changed to "PCM." The option frustratingly does not show up under "Sound" once you press the Gear/Settings physical button. So you'll need to go to -> Home Screen -> Settings -> Display & Sounds -> Audio Output -> set Digital Audio Format to "PCM."

Did what the other person said, went on my tv settings-audio-digital audio format- switched from pass thru to PCM. Now it works. My setup is connected with the optical audio cable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Green light is aux mode but sounds like you're in Bluetooth mode but it flashes blue when in Bluetooth mode. Try changing the input, bottom left bottom below the power button on the remote. That will switch you between optical(yellow), Bluetooth(blue), aux(green), USB(purple).
