If your cable box or TV does not have an optical connection, you can still connect the soundbar using either a 3.5mm AUX cable or via Bluetooth. The soundbar has a 3.5mm AUX input that you can connect to the corresponding audio output on your cable box or TV. Additionally, if your TV or cable box has Bluetooth capabilities, you can wirelessly pair it with the soundbar. While it's not a direct connection, you could also potentially use an RCA to 3.5mm adapter if your TV or cable box only has RCA audio outputs. Keep in mind that these alternative connections will likely provide stereo audio and not the same level of multi-channel surround sound as an optical connection might. - Answer Depends on if you have sturdy enough screws in the wall to keep in place, the bass of the soundbar is very strong it has knocked itself off the walls. However replacing the screws with sturdier ones was the only thing.

- Answer It should have come with an audio in/out cord. Similar to a headphone jack that your tv may have. Check the plug section and see if there is a little headphone icon.

QuestionI bought an Insgnia 43" Non Smart TV and am trying to add the Insgnia Soundbar using an HDMI cable. I cannot get it to work using the HDMI cable. It will, however work with the optical cable which won't work with my Firestick remote. Any Suggestions?

If you have an Insignia non smart TV, you may need to change the Audio format to use the HDMI connection. Just go to your TV's Audio Menu, select Audio Format/Audio Delay, then set Audio Format to PCM. If this still didn't work, the HDMI cord may be defective. I hope this helps. Just connect the soundbar to your TV using HDMI, 3.5mm aux cable, or Digital optical cable. Change the audio output in the TV by going to Audio menu, then select Digital Audio Format/Audio Delay, and choose PCM. Make sure that the soundbar is properly plugged in before testing it out.
