The different types of Ethernet cables are just different max data transfer speeds. CAT-6 is the best, but CAT-5e is such a small step below that for most applications so far, you won't really be able to tell the difference. I have a Fibre Optic 50/50 Mbps connection, and changing from CAT-5e cables to CAT-6 made no difference in my network, but I did it anyway, as futureproofing.
