No, there is no bucket, the water will hit the condenser and evaporate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. After a while you will have to. Ive had mines for 3 months and its now that i have to drain the water out. It will make 8 beeping sounds to let you know to drain the water out completely for it to start again. I drained it one time in both sides and it kept turning off. I try draining a second time and it stayed on that time around. So yes. After a while you do have to. But it will tell you when it needs it.

How often you drain depends on where you live. If you live in a dry desert area, you will rarely need to drain it. If you live in a high humidity area like I do, it can vary from a few times a day to once every two-three days. Note if you wait for the alarm, you will have to drain much more often as the lower drain pan is very small. I used the included hose and have it attached to the upper drain so it automatically drains into a bucket. I have never had to deal with the alarm (which shuts the unit off). If you want to run this unit unattended you really need to have it near a floor drain or drill a hole in a wall to get the water outside. We also had a Toshiba unit that had the same setup. These lower cost portable units do not burn the water off cooling the compressor...doing so creates steam and adds more humidity to the room, the exact opposite of what you want to cool it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn’t have to drain it the first year this year. I have to drain it when it starts spitting out water. There is no beeping on my unit. I drain it into flat cookie sheet with edges.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope! I’ve had it over a month and there is no water that needs to be drained.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it evaporates into the room, it will keep it humid. Is this a real A/C with a compressor, condenser, evaporater...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Within 24 hours mine gave the bucket full code, you basically need a room with a floor drain to drain it. Now day 3 there's 5 inches of ice on the filter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Do portable ac units blow cold air
