QuestionI have a 2011 Macbook Pro (USB-A) and want to plug in an external G-RAID hard drive (USB-C) to work from and transfer files to/from the laptop's SSD drive. Since my laptop is older, I assume it's USB 2 not 3.0, so will this cable work?

- Answer That depends if your old desktop has USB 3 inputs or not. USB 3 inputs are simply labeled by the blue colored USB input on the desktop. If you do not have any blue colored inputs on your desktop than this will not work for you. If you do however this will transfer documents to pictures to music files to videos over the USB 3 to USB C interface of this cable.
