You must make a black pigtail (short wire), connect the two existing black wires together with the black pigtail using the proper size wire nut and then connect the black pigtail to the proper side of the outlet (dark screw). Do the same with the white wires connecting the white pigtail to the silver screw. Given that you can do serious damage to yourself and your house if you make a mistake, I suggest that if you are not sure about what you are doing that you find a friend who does to help you.

Loosen the terminal screw and insert both wires into the holes provided. Two in the black terminal and two in the white terminal, then tighten the terminal screws. Done.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is holes for both wires to be placed in before you screw it tight. The two holes are behind the area of the screws. The grounding wire is the only one that needs to go around the actual screw.
