I believe the unit is self evaporative but it will still accumulate some water in the holding tank which you will need to manually empty every so often. It also has a separate drain plug for when you run it in dry / dehumidify mode and it comes with a tube that you can connect to empty it into a bucket or drain.

Please try again later.While the manual doesn't specifically say, mine has been running 24/7 for the last month, and when I opened the drain plug, only a very small amount of water came out, so I think it is using most of it to cool the compressor, although high humidity locations might need to be drained more often.
