Don't listen to the previous 2 answers as they are not correct. Anytime you turn a refrigerator or freezer on any side other than its legs, you must let the appliance sit in it designed position from the recommended time as stated in the manual. The rule of thumb is 24 hours. When you place a refrigerator or freezer on its top or side for any amount of time, you are taking the oil in the compressor and not allowing it it sit where it needs to be. It can take up to 24 hours for the oil in the compressor to return to the location of the compressor that the oil needs to be. If you plug the appliance in too early or before the oil returns to the bottom of the compressor, you lower the life of the appliance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on how you transport it. If it was upright during transport let sit for an hour. If you laid it on it's side, and do so on the wrong side you could damage the fridge, let sit 3-5 hours. If you laid it on the correct side 2-3 hours before you plug it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manual clearly states 4 hours
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The instructions state about 2 hours! I plugged it in after 45 mins and have no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't need to sit for any specified amount of time; you can pretty much just plug it in as soon as it's out of the box &/or packaging.
