Max output from one plug is 2.4 Amps, if 1 or 2 devices are plugged in you should see 2.4 Amps or 10 Watts. If you plug in 3 or 4 devices, the 4.8 Amps gets averaged out across all plugs (1.6 or 1.2 Amps respectively). Most, NOT ALL devices will handle 10 Watts without any issue, and most phones will charge faster, but the battery gets a little warmer. Also, just as a note, high apmperage devices may not charge. An iPad needs a minimum of 10 Watts to charge for example, so if you have a phone, external battery, iPod, and iPad all plugged in, the iPad will not show it is changing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Max. is 2.4 Amps output per port. They refer to this a "fast-charging". For 4 ports at 4.8Amps output, the unit will equally divide the 4.8Amps between the number of ports that are plugged into it. So 2 devices will get 2.4Amps each. 4 devices will get 1.2Amps each. Also, 2.4Amps should not damage any device that is plugged into it. If you feel more comfortable, plug in more than two devices at a time and the unit will automatically reduce the power to each.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've charged tablets with this - which likes more than 2 amps. In conjunction with the tablet, I've also charged a battery an and an iphone at the same time. No problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It delivers 4.8A total power in 4 USB ports, I assume, each two ports share 2.4A outputs, 2.4A is about the max you can deliver on USB, Apple iPad charger goes up to 12W which translate to 2.4A too.
