The heating elements are made of metal and the broil function is good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It does not say what the elements are made of but some type of metal. The broil function works to heat up food. If left in it long enough it may broil a steak. If that is your main reason for a toaster oven I'd spend more than $35 to do that. It works good for the cost and regular general use.
