Hello Best Buy customer Sarah! A good indicator of the model year for Insignia Products are the "last" two (2) numbers in the actual product's "model" number. In this case, the model number is NS-43D420NA18 so you should focus, in this case, on the "18." However, unlike another answer which was posted to your question on this Best Buy website where indication was made that the release date was in the year "2018," I did a little Internet research and found that this model of 43" Insignia TV was available from Best Buy during the Black Friday sales period of "2017." The source that I saw make reference to this was "USA UK News" dated November 22, 2017. I don't know if it's consistent all of the time; however, when I see those last two (2) numbers in Insignia Products' model numbers ("not" the Best Buy SKU numbers!) I think of car models--how, many times, just after mid-year the next year is used to refer to the "newest<>just released" model of car. I don't know if this is true or applicable "across-the-board" with Insignia Products; however. Thanks for your question Sarah!
