The backlight on my TV recently burned out and needs replacement. Only had the TV for a year! If TV purchased under a year, it should have warranty and the replacement bulb would be free. If its a year and a day over warranty, then you would need to pay to repair the TV and bring it to a shop. I called several shops and on average, the cost of the bulb on a 43"+ LED TV is around $10, but the quoted cost of labor to install the bulb is $125 (and up) if you don't have an extended warranty or repair membership.
