You can but you need a minimum of 6 inches around all sides for air flow. It’s fine in a garage but you should not put it in the sunlight or anywhere it can get wet. If it’s in a hot hot area you will probably have to defrost it often and it won’t be as energy efficient. You can look at all the specs online at Best Buy website. Drill down to review the specs.
