"Smart" is usually the generic term for any Internet-connected TV that has streaming capability. This particular TV uses the Fire operating system from Amazon, so it integrates easily with your Amazon Prime account. Roku is another streaming platform which also has it's own operating system and subscription. Tizen is another operating system mostly used by Samsung. All of them will allow you to download various apps for streaming content. The choice really comes down to which OS you want/like.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Roku TV's work well with Siri, Amazon and has the voice activated features, and the plus is one remote to do everything. You don't need a firestick, which is an added plus with Roku TV's the apps are already built in, you would just need to login, register and start using them. Tizen their applications work well with Samsung TV's, which may provide you with a better picture quality in my opinion. I hope you find this helpful!
