A:AnswerYes. It should work fine. Just remember, the DVI connector only passes video signal through. No audio. You will need to use the speaker/headphone out on the computer for audio, or get a HDMI audio extractor.
A:AnswerIt depends on what type of connections you have on the monitor. You already said it does not have a DVI plug in but if it has a HDMI, the DVI to HDMI cable will work. If you do not have a HDMI plug in then you probably only have a VGA plug in. Then you need to see if you have a VGA on the computer and jut get a VGA cord.
A:AnswerThis cable will get the signal out of the computer via the HDMI port and into the DVI on the projector, but the DVI connection is ONLY video. You will also need a separate cable for the audio (probably a 1/8" headphone connector) - either to the tiny speaker in the projector or a real speaker system.
A:AnswerHave you checked the settings on your monitor to make sure you are forcing the HDMI connection? Take it out of AUTO. I had to do that with my monitor to get it to work.
A:AnswerYour Dell should have an HDMI port on the side. You can connect with an HDMI cable and use the second monitor.
You may need to set-up the second monitor with the laptop open before closing to the Docking Station.
A:AnswerHDMI carries sound in addition to video on the same cable. it might, but it is my understanding the DVI does not, so you might be absent sound unless you use speakers.
A:AnswerYou need to have the correct connector options. DVI and DVI... I haven't seen a tv with DVI in a few years, and you need to go from a device that has the HDMI.
