If you go to settings(looks like gears) on your laptop and select sounds, you will then see options for selecting what piece of technology would you like to use for the source for sound. Then you select the option that identities your tv i.e. Samsung. Then the sound will play immediately. The sound should then be heard through the television
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Click the speaker on the top bar and scroll down to your tv. That should do it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used an audio cable and it works great. Something like that or there is one which I can't find right now from my iPhone but one of those cables actually comes with an adapter in case one of your components doesn't support the type it plugs into a 3.5mm jack that looks just like headsets or just use a plain old 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on the research I've done I'd say that this is normal for any semi-outdated/pre-2010 laptop. The sound will only play through the laptop's installed speakers. There's fixes though. When I experienced this myself I simply plugged my stereo speakers into the headphones port of my laptop (the Surround Sound Experience is so much better than TV speakers anyways) Though, if you don't have speakers, I'm sure there's a cord you can buy that will connect your headphones port to your TV.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You won't get audio from the HDMI, it's just for video. You will have to run it out of the headphone jack to your tv.
