This is my first Air Fryer so I can't make a comparison but there is a pre-set for that and it seems adequate though larger items may require resetting for additional time. Unfortunately, you cannot add time or change temperature during the cooking process, you must stop and reset the program, a minor inconvenience. Pizza is the same and the pre-set for that is also generally adequate though you do have to monitor it for your exact preference. I haven't tried cookies yet.
