• The max load capacity of this tripod is 1.8 lbs. It should work with iPad, but not for a large ring light.

• The mini tripod is a great little tool, I have a full sized digital SLR on mine and it’s fine. It should be able to handle the weight of an iPad, not sure about a light ring.
