Let me first say this: I am a former American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and Americian Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator. I used a different model with my Nikkon Underwater Camera which worked fine to start off with, then the chlorine ate off the screw which attached to the camera. For shame on myself: i should have rinsed off the tripod as well as my camera...I knew better. I don't know if this model tripod withstand your particular pool's sanitation chemicals, but if you do try it, rinse all equipment with tap water, dry with a clean towel and allow all products to air dry before putting them away. Best of luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried to use the tripod underwater, but I suspect the foam on the legs and the air trapped within the water proof case would cause the camera and tripod to float. I have a wrap that fits on my hand with a camera mount that works well with my water proof case. It attaches/adjusts with Velcro and is worn like a glove. Might try something like that as an alternative.
