Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Dell 5400. It works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The spec sheet for the Dell 5520 Precision laptop indicate it requires a power adapter with double that wattage: "130 Watt AC adapter (4.5mm barrel)" If that is true, 65W may still show the message about the charger not providing enough to meet the power consumption. The spec sheet is here: https://i.dell.com/sites/csdocuments/Shared-Content_data-Sheets_Documents/en/Precision-5540-Spec-Sheet.pdf (From here: https://www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/cty/pdp/spd/precision-15-5520-laptop)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, I don't have Dell but I tried using it on HP Spectre. Within a minute, a message popped up on screen "Please use your original charger." I spent $1200 on that laptop and doesn't want to cause hard to it with this charger. So I stopped. Hope this help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should work but,... Dell attempts to notify you when the charger is working properly or not, but the notification may be imperfect. The cable and its connection can be a problem too, and since this charger has a removable cable, make sure you are using the original charger cable. Also make sure the connections are clean. Since USB-C cables can be plugged in 2 different ways, try flipping it over. The internal connection points can become damaged too, so try flipping the cable over in it's port. Welcome to the wacky world of USB-C.
