QuestionDoes this come with the rack that is shown in the picture? It's in one picture and in the main discription but is not listed in the "what's included" on the box. Trying to figure out if my wife is crazy or if I lost it when unboxing.

- Answer The main difference between the 2 models is NS-MC60SS8 has 3 temperature settings and NS-MC60SS9 does not.

- Answer Yes you can cook rice, there’s a rice button. FYI if you’re cooking jasmine rice I use less water like 1.5 cups to 1 cup of rice.

Question1)How do you cook congee or porridge ? There is no porridge function. Not sure, if it is the multi-grain function . 2) there is no pressure setting for this one. How do I leave it in a normal setting for 10 minutes?

- Answer Use soup function for porridge, make sure you use correct amount of water.

- Answer Well the warranty on this insignia pressure cooker is a year but you can also get the geek squad protection on the pressure cooker and self and that’ll last up to two years

- Answer The Meat/Stew program default time is 30 minutes and you can adjust it up to 2 hours.

- Answer Rice is supposed to be 1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water. I find that it depends on how you like your rice. I used a little more water & was happy. Experiment until you find satisfaction. For other things, the amount of water or other liquid depends on the recipe. Generally I've always seen a minimum of 1 cup.

QuestionHi..I was trying to make rice using a PIP(pot in pot ) method and use rice function....but the rice is always half cooked ..and water would be left behind...can any one tell me what's is the problem?I added 1 cup water in the pot.

QuestionThis 6 qt. pressure cooker is very difficult to operate. I am not sure what all this (Delay Timer ) is about. I cannot get it to cook for me!

- Answer Lee The delay timer is to start the cooker cooking at a specific time. If the pot has been set to delay it won’t start up. You can press the manual button and set the time and press start and it should begin heating up.

- Answer Hello, Yes you can. It gives you the control of adjusting the cooking temp and time to your needs. You can also stop the pressure cooker when needed incase you feel as you over did it with the time or temp. And restart.

- Answer I don't have an instant pot, but as I am looking, I find no difference. Buttons are the same, the recipes for an instant pot work perfectly. I am really pleased with the price and the way this machine works. I was skeptical about everyone raving about them, but so happy I decided to take the plunge. Food is moist and cooked beautifully in no time at all. For the price on this, I am very happy.

- Answer This is a perfect device to use in the kitchen it stays cool when I'm cooking but you do have to be careful when you removed the top. The top gets hot from the steam and pressure build up. Please use the handle and Enjoy.
