It took about a full day for mine to get down to freezing

Please try again later.I switched my brand-new small chest freezer on this morning and 45 minutes later the freezer thermometer I placed inside is already in the dark blue freezing zone. This is on a switch setting of midway.The amber warning light has gone out. I'll wait for another couple of hours just to make sure, possibly place an ice cube tray in there for testing. And then I'm off to the frozen food store!
