I was concerned about this as well, being in a older home. I unable to get an answer online. I have mine plugged into a 20A circuit with 5 other outlets and an LED security light that usually stays on all night. The freezer doesn't run that often, and the lights inside the house will only dim momentarily when I use the shop vac. But that's to be expected, with or without the freezer. You should be fine, hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine is sharing an outlet with no problems.

You must insert the plug into an outlet that is correctly installed and grounded. Check your local power source. This freezer requires a 115V, 60Hz power supply. This freezer should always be plugged into its own individual power outlet which has a voltage rating that matches the rating plate. Insignia Support Angela www.insigniaproducts.com/support
