For those who are looking for additional or replacement silicone rings, I bought the Instant Pot replacement rings and they fit exactly right in this pot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased the Insignia 8 quart size cooker from Best Buy earlier this year when it went on sale for $33. I also contacted Insignia customer support and asked if they had extra silicone rings or made a stainless steel inner pot and got the same answers - no, that they do not have 8 quart size accessories. However, I've purchased the Instant Pot brand 8 quart sealing silicone rings and the IP all steel 8 quart inner pot and those all fit the Insignia 8 quart cooker fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also contacted Insignia looking for a replacement pot. They said they don't stock spare parts, the company they typically use for spare parts doesn't have it, and that I should try to "check online." Gee, thanks. Complete failure of customer service. The pot works fine so far, but if you need help, Insignia appears not to care.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was going to buy the 8 quarts couples months ago and I could not find the replacement ring online. I emailed Insignia and they don't sell the ring and they don't know where to get it,so I gave up. It shouldn't be allowed to sell anything anywhere that does not have replacement parts. Imagine buying a car and then you cannot find a tire to replace. This pressure cooker might be good but without the replacement ring is just useless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had contacted Insignia Customer Support about availability of the 8-quart equivalents to the 6-quart stainless cooking pot the Best Buy site offers. They directed me to their official parts supplier or to search the web and included links to Instant Pot brand cooking inserts, etc. (not helpful as the dimensions are not the same". I contacted the parts supplier via email inquiring specifically about replacement cooking pots (either Teflon coated or stainless steel) and replacement silicone gaskets/seals. They do not have any of these items for the 8-quart model. Not sure what to do next. I really like the cooker so far and would like to ensure its future viability by obtaining a few of the essential parts that are most likely to exhibit wear and require replacement. I hope its lifespan isn't limited because simple parts are not available. The parts search has been disappointing so far. Wish I could have anticipated this and would have chosen the 6-quart model instead. Does anyone know if pots or gaskets from another brand will fit the Insignia 8 quart model? Also, I see Insignia Customer Support is replying to postings on the "Reviews" portion of the product page. Maybe someone can try that?
