QuestionDoes this pot also replace a rice cooker? I'd like to get rid of a few appliances...

- Answer I've cooked rice in mine and its come out good. Its usually a 1:1 ratio (rice to liquid). Example: 1 cup rice, 1 cup water, 2 cups rice, 2 cups water etc. Be sure to add a little oil when you make the rice.

- Answer It doesn’t come with one but one from instapot or other pressure cooker would work. This is just like the other pressure cookers on the market. Many recipes are also online.

- Answer I googled an option on youtube showing you can. Cook Sous Vide Style with your Pressure Cooker. Rick Mammana- Sep 12, 2018. The cooking temperature should be between 120F to about 180F.

- Answer I could not purchase one from Best Buy as I don't believe they make one yet but the Instant Pot 8 quart stainless steel pot fits perfectly.

- Answer I just got mine a short time ago so have not tried eggs but I have found that google is fantastic to find recipes and how to use it most effectively.

QuestionFrom the 8 qt manual - to cook potatoes, use a trivet. It came with a little metal stand. Are they the same thing? Also do you cook a cake directly in the large pot? Directions sort of say so, but how do you get it out? Thanks all.

- Answer Put the cooking stand into the inner pot to steam vegetables or fish. To make a cake, put the cake mixture into the pot, then put the pot into the cooker. Carefully remove the cake using suitable utensils and put it into a suitable dish using the provided rice scoop, soup ladle, or other suitable utensils. QuestionCan I also use this pot simply as a slow cooker i.e. for 4-6 hours? Or does it always have to be as a pressure cooker/fast cooker??

- Answer Yes this is a multi cooker. You can set to slow cook function, or pressure cook, or both. You can also steam your veggies or fish, instead of boiling hard boiled eggs hit the steam function.

- Answer No need for water, just add your cake batter seal the lid and select your cake setting. Bakes nice and moist!

- Answer Do not put it in the dishwasher! Warm running water and dish soap (dawn, joy, Palmolive, etc) will do the trick. Make sure to dry throughly with a clean/dry cloth afterwards. It’s a bit of a choir but well worth the effort.

QuestionWhat setting do you use for frozen food?

- Answer Depends on the food, if it’s frozen meat you can choose the chicken function, and that’ll set it to high pressure for 20 minutes. If it’s not done after those twenty minutes you can set it for another 20 minutes by pressing the chicken function again. Making sure you have a little bit of liquid.

QuestionSo there is no information on how to manually start this cooker. I was making a lasagna and it said cook on high pressure for 22 minutes. Does anyone know how to high pressure cook for 22 min or what button would you hit for lasagna?

- Answer The poultry/chicken button is 20 minutes and you can add 2 minutes on. Some features you cannot change the time so I use the chicken button for brown rice because I cook for 22 minutes and the rice button will not let you change the time.
