Thank you for your inquiry! The Insignia™ Active Stylus for iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini is designed for general use, such as note-taking and basic drawing, but it does not offer advanced features essential for professional artists. Specifically, it lacks pressure sensitivity, which is crucial for varying line thickness and opacity based on pressure applied. While it provides good performance for everyday tasks, it may not deliver the smooth, precise, and responsive experience needed for detailed artwork, with minimal lag and no skipping. For artistic purposes, alternatives like the Apple Pencil (1st or 2nd Generation) or the Wacom Bamboo Fineline are recommended, as they offer excellent pressure sensitivity, tilt functionality, and low latency, providing a more professional drawing and sketching experience. Therefore, while the Insignia Active Stylus is a solid choice for general use, it may not meet the specific needs of artists. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently got this stylus exclusively for digital art and it's been great so far. There is some pressure sensitivity, but also great tilt sensitivity, especially for someone like me who often shades with pencil on paper. It hasn't skipped once, although it's brand new, so I can't speak on its longevity. To me, it's nearly equal in quality to the Apple pencil but for a fraction of the price.
