“Is this a TRANSMITTER or a RECEIVER? I want to stream from my desktop pc to my home stereo, of which both are not Bluetooth equipped. I have a BT (Bluetooth) receiver device which I can connect to my home stereo (to receive) but I need to feed the signal from my desktop computer which is not BT equipped so I can stream music from my HD or from the internet.(transmitter)”

• It is a Transmitter and Receiver, My BT Headset is capable of transmitting voice over this so it should work as long as you are able to pair the devices to communicate

• If in essence the device that you have to connect to your home stereo system is a true Bluetooth receiver. Then if your PC has a Bluetooth transmitter. If not, buy a Bluetooth Adapter for your PC. Then all you have to do is connect up the Bluetooth receiver and it should be a go. Bluetooth transmitter and Bluetooth receiver equal connection. If I understand what you described correctly. I recommend a INSIGNIA USB Bluetooth Adapter from Best Buy>

• Insignia makes a universally compatible USB Bluetooth transmitter/receiver. I use one on my laptop for Bluetooth headphones, so pretty sure it will work for the stereo. But if that fails, there's got to be a combo that will work. Don't give up.
