See also NerdyGirl's answer. The driver can be found on http://www.driverscape.com You want the driver for a device named BCM20702A0. The following link worked better for me to get to this driver package: http://www.driverscape.com/download/bcm20702a0. I downloaded this zip file: Driver Version: 12.0.0.9980 Release Date: 2014-09-25 File Size: 171.98M Supported OS: Windows 10 32 & 64bit, Windows 8.1 32 & 64bit, Windows 7 32 & 64bit, Windows Vista 32 & 64bit, Windows XP NerdyGirl is right -- the Setup.exe file in this package doesn't work, at least for my Windows 7 machine. I followed NerdyGirl's tip about manually updating the driver. Here's how: Download the zip file. Extract the driver package in the zip file. Remember where the driver package is on your computer. Go to Start: Control Panel: Device Manager. Look in the Other Devices list in Device Manager for a device named BCM20702A0. Right click on that name. Click on Update Driver Software. Choose Browse My Computer for Driver Software. Find the driver package. Choose the Win32 folder or the Win64 folder depending on what operating system is running on your computer. If you get a warning message that the driver can't be verified, click Yes to install the driver anyway. The driver install went fine for me after that. After installation, you'll see a new Bluetooth Radios category in the Device Manager. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is an issue with Windows 10 automatic installation of this device. The easiest route to fix this is to open device manager winkey+R and type "devmgmt.msc" in the run dialog. Then go to the device (should be listed under other devices and have a yellow triangle exclamation mark on it). Right click and select update driver. Then click on "Install from my computer" then "let me pick from a list of available drivers" find the bluetooth category, then select Generic Bluetooth driver and proceed. Should start working. Get wrecked insignia. Although the adapter itself is good.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.12/27/16 Too many ppl having problems finding Win7 driver, Insignia is a big FAIL on this one because the driver is not avail from Broadcom site. Here's a link to a driver that works: http://dl-ca2.driverscape.com/files/2015/Bluetooth/broadcom_bluetooth_12_0_0_9980.zip (or search for that filename) Do not use 'setup exe', will fail. Instead go to dev mgr -> update driver-> browse to Win64 folder and Windows does the rest. Spent a lot of years searching the crannies of the net looking for stuff..... you have to be persistent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just finished fighting with this with a slightly different path than the other answers. On Windows 10. If you go into Device Manager, under the Other Devices tab is a device named "BCM20702A0" Right click and try to install the drivers, and it balks. But now you can finally see the correct drivers under "view optional updates" in Windows Update. Expand the list and the "Broadcom" USB to Bluetooth (something like that) drivers will appear when they didn't before for me. Then just click it and make Windows Update install it for you. Then Bluetooth will become a header in your Device Manager and you can go from there.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You need to plug this in a USB 3.0 port. USB 2.0 will only cause you headaches.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know i'm late but i was able to follow rowrows suggestion and manually installed. One thing I noticed is that you will only run into issues on a pc that isn't designed to run windows 10. I tried on 3 pcs and same issue, but it was due to them being windows 8 max.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use it on your USB 3.0 port. It would not install for me on a USB 2.0 port, even after installed on the 3.0 port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Go to plugable.com and download there driver that corresponds with your operating system. Spend hours trying to update windows 7 and nothing would work. This driver saved the day. Thanks plugable.com https://plugable.com/products/usb-bt4le/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just spent 2 hours playing with drivers and I found a site that had some setup instructions as well as a zipped executable file to download. I used the HP version of the installer. After everything completed installing it works perfectly. The software installer was labeled "Broadcom Bluetooth Software" or something to that effect. I scanned it for viruses before installing and it was clean, but you would want to do the same just to be sure. I'm not associated with the site below, I just found it while searching for a driver that worked with Windows 7. Hope that helps!
