Encountered the same problem. I removed the top portion, put it under a desk lamp to warm it up slightly, plugged in the lightning connector, then applied force up through the connector until the airpods case pushed out. Will still return this though since it can get stuck easily and wouldn't want to risk the airpods case getting broken trying to get it out like others have.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.How is it stuck? It's a flimsy silicone that you should be able to roll off if need be. You can just pull it away from the AirPod case and literally stretch it off.
