It will work, and I wouldn't worry about it, but technically your performance could be slightly degraded. I think there is very little chance of that degradation being significant enough to notice in any way, but....if you can just get a longer Cat 7 wire, it would be better than using a coupler, no matter what its rating.

The product has worked on sorts of connections in my own use, so go for it. Go to www.speedtest.net to test your wire before and after the installation for proof. Best of luck, Consultant Brian

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This coupler is 10/100 Mbps data rate where a cat 7 is probably 10/100/1000 Mbps. If your system is designed for data transfers above 100 Mpbs then you may see some difference in the time it takes to load a program or download video or software.
