tv slides left/right for positioning, but won't slide off due to design
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Anyone who told you it can slide off the end, does NOT own this particular mount. IT WILL NOT SLIDE OFF THE END. I own the Insignia™ - Fixed TV Wall Mount for Most 19" - 39" Flat-Panel TVs - Black If you look at the mounting plate only, you will not see a "stop" on the mounting plate top edge or bottom edge. However, there is a lip in the "center box" of the mounting plate. And the brackets that mount to your TV, that clip onto the mounting plate, fit "inside" of this center box of the mounting plate. You DO have the ability to slide the TV a little left or right (depending on the size of the TV) BUT, the brackets that are screwed onto your TV till stop once you reach the far left or right of the bracket. I have a special needs child that has tried very often, to "test" sliding the TV off... and my TV stays securely on the plate. I would add that the mounting plate and brackets are a good bit "heavy duty(ier)" that other brackets I looked at. So, although you can only bolt to a single stud (unless you tap your own holes), the thicker mounting plate with this mount has held up VERY well, even with my special needs child. I would 100% buy this again, recommend it to a friend... and tell you to stick with the single stud mount. It has held up well for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The tv wont slide off because it comes with a stopper to prevent it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My setup with a Samsung 32" does have "stops" at the extremes of left/right travel. It does not move real easily. I would think it would have to be severely abused before it popped off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No , nothing to stop if pushed to far to one side. If installed correctly (level)it should be safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There's a brace on the wall mount that keeps the tv from sliding off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mount has edges, The mounting slot will stop when it gets to each edge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I noticed that as well. There is nothing obvious that I can see that would prevent it from sliding off if pushed too far one way or the other. That said, it does not easily slide along the mount and I think it would take some effort (intentional effort) to slide it off the mount.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it can come off!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it does not slide off but the mount loosens on the wall when you adjust tv.
