The instructions mention different options for drywall with studs and for brick. You may need different bolts and anchors of course, but the instructions do cover that scenario.

Please try again later.I'd have the Geek Squad install it, or angies list; I'm very handy and have all the power tools needed to do such an install including the proper "molly bolts" etc., I have always questioned the idea of mounting a tv above a "fire"...heat, smoke etc would cause me a little concern, but I'm sure you have thought about that
