• The instructions mention different options for drywall with studs and for brick. You may need different bolts and anchors of course, but the instructions do cover that scenario.

• I'd have the Geek Squad install it, or angies list; I'm very handy and have all the power tools needed to do such an install including the proper "molly bolts" etc., I have always questioned the idea of mounting a tv above a "fire"...heat, smoke etc would cause me a little concern, but I'm sure you have thought about that

• Yes, that's where we installed ours. We used lead anchors, it is very secure. Our TV is a 55".
