What are the 2 cords hanging down for? null

They release a latch on the back of your TV that allows you to take the TV down off the mount. They have a magnet on the tip that you stick to the mount so they will be hidden during normal use.

The two drop down strings are used to 'fasten' the TV to the mount. The ends of the cords are magnetized, so that they will adhere, away from sight

you pull them down to remove the tv from wall mount.

The cords are for moving the wall mount.
