• This protector fits just inside the outside frame of the ipad mini. If the otterbox defender case touches the outer edges of the original screen, it may encroach on the screen. However, the screen protector is so thin and form fitting, I do not think it will prevent the case from being installed. If the Otterbox defender case already has a screen protector then you would not need this insignia screen protector. Also, if you use two protectors, it may diminish the sensitivity of the touch screen.
