• There are two converters, one is HDMI to RCA, the other is RCA to HDMI. Be sure to purchase the correct 'direction', but yes, the RCA to HDMI version should allow you to connect any RCA device to an HDMI device, as long as the conversion 'direction' is one way.

• Hi, No, not with this unit. This is for HDMI > to > older RCA TV’s. You need the opposite of this, RCA > to > HDMI… Best Buy does offer both kinds of converters ( unfortunately I don’t have the part number handy).
