No. This adapter converts HDMI input (for example coming from an Apple TV device) into RCA jack output to plug into old tv's (for example: A Sony built in 2001). You need the similar adapter which converts RCA input into HDMI output. Looks the same; same price. Insignia model number NS-HZ330.
