A:Answer In your video card's settings, there should be a place for you to play around with the resolution settings. Depending on your video card, you will have options that many people do or don't have because people have different video cards. Search through them and see what you find.
As well, the option to extend displays is also dependent on your video card and it's features. You may not have the option, or you possibly just haven't found it.
To access a video cards settings is pretty simple. Right click on your desktop, and in the menu that appears, click display settings. There you will find many options, including the one that says duplicate screen. In that box, click it to see if the dropdown box shows any other options. If it does not, you can't extend the screen and your video card doesn't support it.
