QuestionI'm trying to log into my xbox account with the insignia remote and I have to put in the pass key. What would be the equivalent of the Xbox "X" and "Y" button on the insignia remote?

- Answer To the side of the six dots on the side of the screen there is a numeric keypad 1 through 0. Next to each number there is one or two symbols that show the equivalent input. For example, next to the 9 there is the Y button symbol and the square or the stop/ record button. On the controller you will see the square, which is the same as pushing 9 or the Y button. Likewise, next to 0 (zero) you will see the X button symbol and the Next button (an arrow with a single line). On the controller push the Next button for 0 or X.

QuestionWill this be able to move the cursor/mouse pointer in the Microsoft Explorer app (still being used via Xbox One)? This typically is done with the joysticks on the regular gaming controller.

- Answer Thank you for your inquiry! To eject a disk using the Insignia™ Media Remote for Xbox Series X | S & Xbox One, first ensure your Xbox console is powered on and the remote is synced. Navigate to the Home screen using the remote, then press the "Xbox" button to open the Guide menu. Highlight the game or app tile you want to eject the disc from and press the "Menu" button (the one with three horizontal lines) on the remote. This will open a context menu where you can select the "Eject Disc" option. If the remote lacks a dedicated "Eject" button, this on-screen menu method is the standard way to eject a disc. If you encounter any issues, you can also use the Xbox controller to access the Guide menu and eject the disc. - Answer Depending on which service or app you’re working with some buttons may not work as expected. Example: Amazon prime video does not recognize play/pause button, instead use primary button located toward the top of the remote inside the left right up down circle. Most other services recognize the buttons as expected.

- Answer Honestly mine was recognized by the Xbox right away, might be the remote itself but for volume and other settings you will have to configure it in your Xbox settings

- Answer the volume and other advanced controls are transmitted through the HDMI communication protocol. you need to make sure that your receiver and/or TV have this function, and have it enabled. HDMI 2.1 has a lot of various functions, that aren't always implemented (optional tech), or if you have a cheaper cable, it may have some defective or disconnected wires for these optional features. older kinect models just blasted the room with IR to accomplish this. shame the series models don't have this feature anymore...

- Answer I dont know that it will control the TV other than the volume. You can set up your xbox to control the tv's sound in the settings of the xbox. Other than that, I dont know that it will control the tv.
