It's not a question of WBBM and/or CBS. All over-the-air antennas pick up all over-the-air signals. Something else is at play here. Try moving the antenna closer to a window or even putting it on the window sill, blocking a bit of the view. Alternately, try laying it flat, high up on top of a bookcase or standing it up, using the enclosed stand, high up on top of a bookcase. Try re-orientating it, keeping it on WBBM's channel and keep turning it ever so slightly again and again. Good luck! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not in Chicago. Around here I have noticed that some stations' towers are in the Driver section of Suffolk, some are in Newport News, and some are south of the North Carolina border. I can get the Driver and Newport News antennas with no problem. The ones south of the North Carolina border I cannot get at all. The antenna I purchased is only a 25 mile radius antenna. I would need to have spent the extra money to get the 50 mile radius antenna to get the North Carolina channels. While it would have been nice, I was not willing to spend the extra to get the other channels. Please realize, we do not have any real hills and NO mountains to contend with. I am on a 'high' spot in the area. You may need to look up where the antennas are in the Chicago area to see if you have the right antenna for what you are trying to do. While I do know several who work at the TV stations around here, they told me about a website that had the tower locations around this area. You may want to look up the TV tower locations for the Chicago area to see how far the one is that you cannot get the station from. It could be too far OR you are too close to it to get reception. There is a dead-zone for all towers. Hope that helps you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would maybe try to relocate the antenna before trying again to rescan. My friend did not try to do this, we did, and we get CBS now, but it is interesting that CBS was the issue in the Dallas area as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.WBBM is available and you may have to adjust the antenna to get it however doing so may eliminate other channels. We cannot get ABC here unless we do the same thing. I go without it.
