Insignia customer service confirmed with me today that there is no way to disable that obnoxious "beep" when I turn on, off, or operate other functions on the speaker. Looks like I have to go through the hassle of returning this item. It's too bad because I would have kept this device if it weren't for that annoying noise..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best thing I did was put it at Max volume then turned it off. It seems to remember that as long is it's charged. Then ill adjust the volume with whatever device I'm using, beep free.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately no, my suggestion is turn the speaker up to the highest volume you want to listen to, then use your devices volume ( phone, tablet, ect... ) to adjust the sound level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try turning the sound down on your device not the speaker, it works that way as well. No beeps there.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree it is a bit bothersome. What I do is leave the volume all the way up on the speaker and then use my device volume control. That seem to work better and you don't get the beep.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you connect to your audio through cable there is no beep.
