This converter would technically work. You'd need your existing RCA (yellow, red, white) cables and an HDMI cable to use this RCA to HDMI converter. Make sure you don't get the nearly identical "HDMI to RCA" version because that be used for connecting HDMI cables to older TVs instead. BUT, I recommend buying a new DVD player that has an HDMI port and does up-scaling to use with your new TV. Or better yet, get yourself a Blu-ray player which can also play DVDs.

Some of the older players don't have HDMI and would need to be connected via a component cable or composite cable.
