I thought, I was the only one. I tried several days but couldn't open it. finally unscrewed the whole thing and was able to put the battery but the whole lamp part came out. I couldn't put it back, it is useless now. If you're still within the return period, I would recommend to do so.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just slide the battery case outwardly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It takes some effort but keep at the battery door. I used a sharp edge of a knife to pry it open from the top of the cover, by the body of it. Be careful and good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's super easy peasy. At the bottom back side of the the reading light there is a small plug. Press it down and open it and change the battery if it's low.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. On mine there's a battery cover with a button-like latch. I depress the button with one thumbnail and push on the cover with my other thumb. The cover slides right off. It was harder to get the cover off the first time, when there wasn't a battery installed. Once I put the battery in it was easier to open after that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. I he button on the clip end is the release for the cover...push the button and slide the cover down. It would have bee great if the light came with instructions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you hold the light with the light up and the clip at the back of the body of the unit, you will find a button at the upper end of the battery compartment. Depress this button while sliding the cover of the battery compartment down. It is a little tricky to master, but it does work. And of course the button is a needed lock so that the cover to the battery compartment does not slide off when one does not want it to open.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Loosen the little set screw first.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a little tricky, but there is a button at the upper end of the battery case that must be depressed while one is sliding the cover towards the other end of the battery compartment. It took me a few tries to get the knack, but it does work. And of course the button is a lock so that cover does not slide off when you are using the light and do not want it to slide off.
