QuestionDoes the Insignia RF modulator output an NTSC (analog) signal to the coaxial cable? Thanks.

- Answer I bought this to hook up to my Vizio TV. The RF modulator did not work for me. The cable system is analog. I might have been doing something wrong, but I followed the instructions, tried channel 3 and 4, tried all the different inputs on the tv, and every connection with the RCA cords. Still could not get it to work.

QuestionMy cable company forced me to "upgrade" my old DVR, but the new DVR is apparently not compatible with my old TV. The tech suggested I try an RF modulator. How exactly do I hook this up then?

- Answer I'm stuck on step 1. My cable box is the source component and it only has HDMI. My old TV does not have HDMI. Am I plugging in the RF modulator to one of the other TV inputs having red/white/yellow input?

QuestionI have an "old" vizio tv. The coax antenna adapter was damaged and could not use the antenna. However, i could still use the tv using the rca adapters. My question is, can i use the rf modulator to connect the tv antenna and output to the rca adapter?

- Answer No because this is an RCa to coax converter. You would need a coax to RCA converter to do what you want.

- Answer Try to run a channel scan on your TV or hook up your Satellite box to one of the HDMI inputs on the TV.

QuestionIs this unit compatible with a Comcast (PA PACEUDTA) box. The Comcast box takes the signal from the wall outlet and converts it to RF (channel 3 or 4) and then feeds it into the normal RF input to the TV? I plan to use this device between box and TV.

I would like to begin by clarifying that, by the description of the setup you have at home, this device would be of no use for you, as your TV is most likely capable of receiving RF signals via Coaxial cable. Also take in consideration that this adapter takes the digital signal and outputs it as RF, working exactly in the opposite direction that you suggested. Hope this information was of any use. QuestionGot it and hooked everything up. Color matched the rca cables and tried switching the coaxial cable in the antenna and tv ports. Everything was powered on and it's not recognizing my dvd player. What am I doing wrong?

- Answer Yes, that is pretty much exactly what this device is made to do :-) . It takes the audio and video fed into the RCA jacks from devices like VCRs, DVD players, and older game consoles and sends it out through the coax (cable) connector.

- Answer Hello Crazymic00, If your TV has the RCA inputs (Yellow, Red, White) you can connect them with a standard RCA cable, otherwise you can use the RF Modulator to change the signal from the DVD RCA Out port to the TV antenna in the coaxial port using an RF Modulator. - Answer This does not covert to an HD signal over coax. But it does work great for sending an analog signal to one or two other TVs, using the three color composite outputs on the back of a Dish Hopper3, Joey and wireless Joey. If you’re looking to mirror what’s on the TV with Dish equipment, avoid them up selling you on the extra equipment. To send an HD signal, use an HDMI splitter at the box, CAT5 cable, and HD converters at both ends
