The adapter fits fine in China -- as do most USA plugs even without an adapter. I broought this along just in case but ended up not needing it. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: In China, the critical factor is not whether your plug fits or not -- it almost always will fit as their wall outlets accept a variety of plugs. The question is whether your device's power supply is rated to work at 117VAC only (many USA power supplies are) or 110-240VAC (like my SurfaceBook's power supply). The variable-voltage ones will work fine. The 117VAC-only will fry. So READ THE SMALL PRINT on your adapter before plugging it into a Chinese 220VAC wall outlet!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This adapter worked great in China but we only stayed in large hotels where two pronged non-polarized (with prongs the same size) US plugs plugged in directly as well. It was useful where I needed to plug in two pronged polarized (with one prong larger than the other) US plugs. It did not allow me to plug a three pronged grounded polarized US plug (had to use an two pronged adapter on that first).
