This will depend on the device. If the plug or rating listed on your device says only "120V 60 Hz", then you will need a converter. If you are charging a phone or computer, chances are your plug will list (small printing!) "100-240V 50-60Hz" or "110-220V 50-60Hz". Then it is dual voltage & an adapter is all you will need. This adapter does include a Type F European prong plug.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased two, one was just an adapter and one was converter/adapter in one. So to be safe I would purchase the two together, all-in-one. This was a little bit more in price but it had both in one. They were both Insignia products. Had no trouble at all.
