A:Answer This reader is designed for Secure Digital (SD) and microSD cards with a separate reader/slot for each. It seems to work well for me with high quality SD/microSD cards. It also has a reader/slot for Compact Flash (CF) cards, often found in high-end cameras/camcorders. On Windows 10 systems, it is recognized as three different disks. I don't use the CF slot, so I don't know whether it will read/write the newer high-performance Cfast or XQD formats. (I doubt it.) I use it with Windows-based systems, but it should work with IMAC if it supports USB3 over one of its ports. If you only have USB-C ports, you will need a USB-C/USB3 adapter, available at all the usual suspects, including Apple. Hope this info helps.
